We have the unofficial election results for Tega Cay’s Municpal General Election 2009 from the York County SC Registrations and Elections website.

Here are the un-certifed results from the Novemeber 3rd 2009 Tega Cay Election:

George Sheppard – 1168

Bob Runde – 766

City Council – Two Seats to Fill

Dottie Hersey  – 845

Stephen Perkins – 712

John Dervay    – 703

Thomas J Fitzpatrick   – 619

Katie Shive – 458

Keen McHugh – 112

The Rock Hill Herald reported tonight Bob Runde who has served as Tega Cay’s Mayor since 2002, conceded his Mayoral seat to George Sheppard shortly before 8pm tonight.

Today’s SeeTegaCay.com poll predicted George Sheppard winning the Mayoral seat by 67%. The actual vote was by 60%.

According to the un-certified votes, Dottie Hersey and Stephen Perkins  have filled the two available city council seats.

According to the the York County SC election calendar, the votes will be certified by 10 am on November 5th.

A special election will be held to fill George Sheppard’s empty council seat.
