Sponsors Still Needed for Children

Toys For Joy are currently looking for sponsors. To sponsor a child, it simply means that you purchase gifts from the child’s wish list and return them by December 5, 2011.

Who can sponsor?

Families • Workplaces • Neighborhoods • Churches • Mom’s Groups • Lion’s Clubs • Girl Scouts • Boy Scouts

If you would like to be a sponsor, please email ToysForJoyFM@yahoo.com with your name, phone number and how many children you would like to sponsor.  We will email you specifics of your child.

Distribution Day is Sat., Dec. 10, 2011: 9-11am at LifePointe Christian Church. So toy donations are need prior to Dec 5th. Go to  http://myfortmill.com/toysforjoy/ for more details.

You’ll find Arts and crafts produced by our local artists will be featured, Kids’ zone (jumpees, etc), and food will be available throughout the day between 10am–6pm

The Fall Festival offers something for everyone and we invite you to join the Tega Cay/Fort Mill community for this exciting day full of activities, exhibitions and children’s play area.

Vendors

There are approximately 50 spaces available in the upper level of the Glennon Community Center and 50 spaces available outside for crafters and exhibitors. Spaces are available on a first come basis.

All food vendors will be situated in the outdoor food court.

The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary USCGA further invites you (from canoeists & kayakers to year round recreational boaters) to take advantage of one of the two free Vessel Safety Checks coming up this month.

Vessel Safety Checks (VSC) are conducted by qualified members of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and will enable you to learn about any problems that might put you in violation of state or federal laws. Upon successful passing of this exam, the boater will receive a decal for his vessel and may be eligible for an insurance discount.

Join us and find out about our next Safely Boating Course and become acquainted or even reacquainted with basic boating skills, seamanship and the most current rules and regulations that may save a life or prevent an accident.
